It may not technically qualify as “organizing”, but decorating is definitely part of making a house feel like home. This weekend I didn’t get much organizing done, but I did do a little bit of decorating.
We now have the pictures on the wall (not counting X-man’s artwork from school). It was a three day process between Lil’ TJ wanting attention and my mis-measurements, but I finally got pictures hung in Lil’ TJ’s room today.
And I picked up our new patio furniture. Despite the Houston humidity and heat (and it’s only June!), it’s already been used.
So not necessarily improving the functionality of our house, but starting to make our house feel like a home.
This is part of a series on how I’m organizing a new home while taking care of two kids with J, trying to start a business in a new area, and handling life in general. In an attempt to keep posts timely, I ask all readers (especially my English teacher mom) to forgive errors. I’m going for completion, not perfection.
